Chris until last week at the station. How can you say you've been watching him for a long time? None of this makes any sense." |

Rich shook his head. "D.J., D.J., D.J." He made a tsking sound with his tongue. She wanted to smack him in the mouth. "Sometimes I wonder how you have the brains to come in out of the rain. There's more to this than you know." He looked at Chris. "Isn't there, McCall? A lot more." |

"You don't? Well, I'm sure you'll remember real soon. I recognized you the second you walked into the station, and I knew you'd place me eventually. He glanced at D.J. "Then you started hanging around and we didn't get another chance to look. I figured McCall had seen it by then and maybe shown it to youyou two were so tight. So I knew I'd have to kill you both. I don't look that much different now than I did as a teenager. And after the night we shared, McCall, I must have been a prime figure in a lot of your nightmares." Rich grinned, relishing the idea that he'd starred in someone's bad dreams. "Heard any tigers roar lately, karate boy?" |

D.J. let out a sigh of exasperation. Rich had always talked too much, but this was getting ridiculous. He was ranting. "What are you talking about, Rich?" |
